That link is cool. :)

"One aspect that is universal about people actively following a spiritual path - and I do not refer to religious mythology, dogma and doctrine - is the acceptance that we are all free to choose a spiritual path that is uniquely our own. They do not feel the need to preach to anybody, imply superiority over another's beliefs or make any ridiculous assertions that their's is the "only way" to a rich and satisfying spiritual life."

Yeah?

"If a belief system assists you in being a better person and promotes unity instead of seperation - without causing harm or injury to others in ANY way - then you have found your spiritual path and truth and you have my respect."

:lol

EDIT: But could it have been 9/9/09 when I posted here about that mess, that I didn't know what to do with mah life? I deleted the post so... hard to tell now. :)

Really cool website...kind of creepy how accurate the descriptions of most of the symptoms are. Especially for some of the visual phenomena I've been experiencing lately (sparkling sky, blotches of red and yellow light, etc.). I'm sure most of us have experienced something on that list.

I'm so glad you referenced the link to Adya's awesome satsang! :)

I listened to it again yesterday. I LOVE it. :p2

Everyone is different. Sometimes I think I experience so much physical and visual phenomena because it was necessary for me to believe that God does exist or that I have a shot in hell of enlightenment.

Most people who meditate enough and desire the Truth above all else seem to experience kundalini/ascension symptoms eventually.

Yeah, for me it's primarily a confirmation that something is actually happening and that I'm not completely off-base. :lol

As far as the more dramatic symptoms, they happen when they happen. In my experience, the first symptoms start to be an increased sense of lightness and peace, more love and joy and ease in the world. You just find yourself not getting upset over the same things you used to and so you can move around in the world without things pushing your buttons as much.

The kundalini, energies, lights, colors, and all that jazz, the flashy stuff basically... that doesn't start until much later. But even that is not the point. It's just icing on the cake.

Not my words, but someone else's. . .

Shakti (=kundalini) can either aid to take you liberation if you understand it or it delude even further, and if you read the tantric texts you will find this. It is said absolutely point blank: shakti can either be a great aid to dissolving the illusions, or it can create even bigger illusions . . . This is why in a kundalini path one has a Guru . . . one that knows the start from the finish, rather than getting you caught up in astral realms and astral travel and siddhis and powers, because that has nothing to do with realization. . . and there are blind avenues, but you don't know that until you've gone past and beyond that.

Here's a wonderful video on allowing confusion.
