Hello Ariel, like things are popping away there. For what its worth, My experience, too, has been that its not always pleasant. There are several times I have honestly never been more frightened in my life . . . , e.g. feeling energy literally obliterate form (like there is a current running through you from your toe to your head, and that energy ramps up till you feel like your body is a wire that is shorting-out and starting to smoke and burn out) noises and words out of nowhere get shouted in your ear when you are relaxing and everything is quiet, dreaming of overflowing toilets and waking up with the shits, some get spontaneous kriyas, or start mouthing spontaneous mantras that freak them out at first (I have all my kriyas in dreams which I find kind of nice). . .

Well, my take on it is that God is not a toy, and sometimes we get reminded of the fact that "he" ain't playin' around and he's not here to entertain you.

I have been told that Kundalini is consciousness clearing itself, and the echo of that, or the effects, are felt in form. . .

When the energy hits form for the first time, it can be a bit of a shock until form adjusts to the energy. I have never felt extremely ungrounded or anything like that, except at first, but I can pass on a few things . . .

As Cassie said, get a good amount of protien, and get it from MEAT (fish, pork, chicken, beef. . . beef is the densest and the best for grounding.

Plenty of REST.

There is a balanced breath pranayam that works really well. Back straight, focus on the breathing, and focus on getting an even stream of breath in and out of both nostrils . . .

Actually, I'm getting this all from my guru's site . . . I saw you were looking at one of her other sites earlier. . .there is more info here, if you care to look.

Hope it helps . . . For me personally, the most beneficial thing is getting plenty of rest.

One discussion I saw recently talked of "psychic vampirism". While I don't like the name - or even the thought that there's any such thing as evil - there do exist people who experience emptiness and lack of energy and life within and seek to fill it up through there connections with others. Being frightened or even defensive doesn't help - but what helps is completeness. Being complete in and of itself, as opposed to having your identity say "I'm a loving person and they're suffering, so I should try to help them by giving."

Most of us - even those on the path for a long time - still can think, even subconsciously, that loving is a verb. Love is only a verb so much as "to be" is a verb. It's the IS-ness that matters. I too feel brought down by people - and always I find afterwards that there has been a part of me that doesn't believe in my own completeness and so tries to prove it to myself by being the image of the most loving being. Except it's an image, so it reinforces the lack, partly through the interaction with another.

Letting go of people that are dragging you down is pretty much the saddest thing I've ever done. It feels like dropping a baby to the floor. And what have they done wrong? Sure, they can feel a bit clingy, but they've always been nice? Or they might not have really accepted or understood your choices in life, but they're probably trying the best they can? And who are you to just throw them away, have you no humanity?

But you know you're right, and you know you're not doing anyone any favors by being a crutch for someone who can stand on their own, by dulling your light for those who can't look at it, by betraying a part of yourself to help others be comfortable. So in short:

:dancing Go Ariel :dancing

And not that I know you well, but you're 100% allowed to let me go. Just so you know ;)

What a wonderful post Ariel. :respect :thumbsup Thank you so much. I can relate to this completely because I've been going through this for the past six weeks or so. And when you consider that we've been astrologically in Mercury in Retrograde, major clearing is being demanded by the energies right now. I listened to Robert Ohotto's show on Hayhouse Radio (Dialogue with Destiny), devoted to the specifics of this particular time and it matches everything you've described that many of us are being challenged to do :meditate : Release all that we can that does not serve us.
God Bless you on your journey! :pals :dancing
