What is the opposite of sin? Does anyone have know?
What you focus on expands so if one wants to transcend sin, certainly one would need to focus on whatever is beyond sin. It’s interesting that Christianity focuses so much on sin, but it’s not clear as to what exactly is its opposite.
According to some quick research, people are suggesting innocence, righteousness, holiness, faith, virtue, or simply being a good person and doing the right thing.
Some even suggest that sin doesn’t have an opposite. Everything you do is sinful because you are a sinner and thus everything is a sin It’s just a matter of degree.
Talk about pessimism!
My definition would be to be in alignment with and to come from the higher self, unconditional love, your christ consciousness, your buddha nature, and an open heart… but that’s a bit wordy.
It’s not so much about finding the opposite of sin as it is transcending the realm of duality altogether and rising up into a place where only nonduality exists, where only Love exists. Love is all there is and sin is an illusion. Sin would therefore be choosing anything other than Love, an action sponsored by the lower self, the false self, and the ego mind.
If we looked at a building, sin would be a brick on the second floor. Love would be a brick on the ninth floor. The higher brick is not opposite to the lower brick, nor is it better or worse. It’s simply on another level entirely.
You don’t solve a problem with the same level of consciousness that created it. To go beyond sin, you must raise yourself up to a level that transcends the possibility of it entirely.
If sin has an opposite, what is it and how would we compress it into a single word? Love? Oneness? God?
What say ye? What single word represents the opposite of sin?

Hmm, I say the opposite of sin might be service, but even then, that’s a bit vague. It’s too easy to get caught in the loop of what or who is right and wrong.
We could say the consciousness behind an act is what determines whether it’s in accordance with “higher truths”. But how to know? Who’s to know?
Is life a race towards higher consciousness? I mean… if I truly believe (though still might be very wrong) that an act I do will quicken mine or someone elses rise up the ladder of consciousness… should I? Does the fact that the “I” is still there matter? I, me, having the power to “raise” others “consciousness”. haha Can my belief that this is “higher consciousness” muddle it’s impact. Just the fact that I have beliefs… doesn’t that show doubt somewhere?
yeah, in short… dual questions always raise dual answers, and it’s meant to be that way. Transcending it is nonsense, you just look at both sides. To me, the rest is just self foolery. I mean, I’ve known these higher “non-dual” states, but they just indicate, that all this, I’m already that. And there’s no need to make a belief about that… I’m already that. There’s no how to know this… there’s just… this haha. It definetly helps for being ok with stuff… I’m already that haha. Makes you realise most answers are always just as simple as the initial question… just the question wasn’t necessarily allowed.
Being normal, that’s what it’s about for me. I question beliefs from time to time, but that’s about it… it keeps stuff simple :).
It’s all the same One, there’s opposites too… that’s about as complicated as my philosophy gets haha.
I’d say it’s compassion.
Sin usually comes from survival instinct or ego mentality, but compassion negates all of that.
Don’t be dumb. sin is not a real thing. Only love is real.
sin is a joke that people play on themselves. “SIN” is a
major illusion. How can an illusion have an opposite?
Love is the one and only reality and even love has no
opposite. So go and reexamine your attitude and reexamine the logic and make a choice to not believe what is illusory thinking itself. people who ask what is the opposite of sin are trying to credit their belief as being real are wasting their time with fallacious thinking. Put this kind of stuff where it belongs, in the trash bin of all tragic thinking. The
choice is yours. Move forward with true love or be left
behind in your self made hell of illusory non thinking.
Sin is not real and that is its function, to deceive.
and deny us the rightful joy of Love.—Doug Rosbury

@Doug: You have correctly determined that illusion is not the opposite of Truth. Sin has no reality ultimately and is only illusion.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS SIN !!!! i GO 2 UNITY WE DONT BELIEVE IN SIN ITS A HOAX AND USED TO PLACE FEAR IN SOMEONE SO ANOHTER MAY RULE OVER THEM BILL
Absolute perfection could be the opposite of sin.
We each have the god given gift of free agency, therefore,
“sin” which is but a concept devised by humans for control over other humans to make them feel guilty,
is not a real thing. Only love is real. If we have free agency as offspring of God, We have the right to commit errors without censorship or incrimination. All the
necessary corrections to put us back on track are in
place. We are free to think for ourselves and to decide
for ourselves what course of action to follow.
An illusion can have no opposite. Sin is only a concept.
And love which is the only reality, has no opposite,
therefore “sin” does not exist.——Doug Rosbury
The answer is clear in the Holy bible.
Sin is simply transgression of true love.
And furthermore, since God is love, sin is the transgression of God.
The 2 greatests commandments given by the Lord Jesus cover all.
Love the Lord God with all your heart, mind and soul, and love your neighbor as you love yourself.
But with our hearts so desperatly wicked and our eyes blinded, it is impossible to know what true love is without the word of God. We have an idea, but mess it up terribly and are often ignorant when our actions have transgressed the love of another and of God.
Perfect love casts out fear (which none of us have, thus we fear as a disobediant child does his father)
Perfect love is fulfilment of the commandments.
The opposite of sin is love.
Sin has no opposite because love is the only reality and
love has no opposite. True love is always the present
and real condition. There is never any lack of love because love is the one and only eternal reality. There were never any “commandments” because due to God given
free agency,God cannot command. The so called commandments were simply guidelines for social
relationships simply because of free agency restraining God from commanding. It was a human mistake to term them
“commandments”. Because of Gods perfect love, there is no sin. this is another human mistake and was made to gain control over weak minds. —Doug Rosbury
