What Came First? The Thinker or Physical Reality?

The other day the Abraham-Hicks workshop CDs recorded here in Atlanta arrived. It’s the workshop where I had an opportunity to speak directly with Abraham.

I’m listening to the CDs now and Abraham brought up a very interesting point which I had forgotten about until now.

There is this assumption that first the earth was created and then people somehow arrived on the earth. Either God placed us here, we developed into humans through the process of evolution, or whichever other theory you choose to subscribe to, and there are certainly many more.

However, once we begin coming to the radical realizations that there is no physical reality outside of you, that physical reality lives within you, and that you are the physical reality you think you live in, this throws a wrench into the whole system, does it not?

When you remember, and it is something you will remember because it is something that you know, everything that you see in physical formation, everything that you call manifestation, everything that is actualized, all this knock-on-wood stuff that you can see and smell and hear and taste and touch, all this stuff was preceded by a vibrational reality.

Everything.

The Earth spinning in its orbit. It was vibrational reality first, and because thinkers thought upon it longer, when enough thinkers thought upon it, it began to take form enough that other thinkers could then experience the participation of it in manifested form.

Everything is that way.

You are magnificent beings and you are incredible in your earthly achievements, but we want you know, as bright and as brilliant and willing and wanting as you are, you have not scraped enough dirt together and launched it into orbit. You are not launching planets into orbit. There is something bigger going on here than you can explain through the physical beingness and action of your time/space reality.

What is this bigger thing going on? It is the experience of physical manifestation that occurs by virtue of what thoughts and intentions the thinker holds in mind. It is a non-physical process that leads to the creation of physicality.

So just to play with this idea a bit and explore alternative theories regarding the creation of Earth and the creation of Humans, how’s this for an idea?

And I’m in no way saying that the following is “the Truth.” It’s just a fun idea to toy around with.

Before The Earth Existed

Thinkers started off as non-physical energy, which is all they really are anyways. You can’t weigh or measure thought because thought is non-physical. Sure you can note the results of thought in the physical body, but the physical body is not the thinker. Rather, the physical body is another aspect of the self that the thinker tends to identify with.

You know, that whole mind/body/soul concept. They’re all part of the “me.”

So anyways, if the physical bodies weren’t on another planet before earth, they probably weren’t randomly bobbing around in space either. They didn’t exist yet.

Creating the Earth

So a group of non-physical energy bodies, using the aspect of them that could think, came together and began collectively thinking about a physical place they could play around on. Their thoughts came together to produce a collective manifestation as a result of a sort of collective agreement as to what this place would be like.

So the collective consciousness of these thinkers led to the physical manifestation a planet, a physical playground.

With this planet in place, there was now a location for the non-physical beings to experience themselves as physical beings in relationship with one another, with the earth, and ultimately with themselves since it’s all them anyways.

Then they forgot about all this…

Spiritual Awakening

Eventually comes a spiritual awakening which is not really learning anything new, but simply remembering what’s deep within all of us, the Truth of our being, where we realize that this whole physical reality is nothing more than a result of thought, intention, emotion, and the sculpting of energy.

Ultimately We Are All One.

We begin awakening, or better yet reawakening to the understanding that there never was any REAL physical reality going on out there, but that we chose to literally “make it up” ourselves and then come down and experience it.

When begin making these seemingly magical discoveries about our true nature, when there’s really nothing “magical” about it. The amazing thing is actually the we did these incredible things and then FORGOT that we did.

THAT’S what’s actually impressive!

“You created the whole fricken’ Universe! Holy cow, dude!”

“I did what?”

Fun stuff, isn’t it?
