What is the secret to non-attachment?
When you find yourself attached to something, just admit to yourself that you’re attached.
That’s it!
If you can open up to it and allow it to be, it will take care of itself.
If we go to the mind, we’ll want to do something or change something to get rid of this attachment. The last thing we want to do is admit that it’s there and really experience it. It’s something bad so we want to get rid of it and experience something else, thereby creating more resistance while wanting to experience less.
Yet paradoxically, if we can first just be sincere and honest about exactly where we are now and stop running or trying to change something to make it in any way other than it is, if we can just admit to ourselves from a place of innocence and vulnerability that yes, we are attached right now, and just be with that fully, we will then find that the attachment dissolves quite naturally.
