Perceiving Vibration Rather Than Matter

Colorful World

What we call physical matter is nothing more than energy that’s sort of “clumped up” together. Like energy attracts like energy and globs up with its buddies. Birds of a feather, y’know?

Our senses are nothing more than vibrational perceivers.

There’s no real colors out there. There’s just vibrational energy. If it’s vibrating a little faster or a little slower, our eyes can detect that change and the respective differences are drawn in our mind as different shades and hues of color. Color is how our bodies translate a particular range of frequency.

Energy can be picked up by scientific tools and mapped out onto computer screens, charts, diagrams, and so on. Our bodies do something similar, but instead of measuring energy and doing all the geeky stuff with computers, it simply draws it on the screen of our minds. Our bodies are energetic translators.

If Our Minds Were Wired Differently

The wiring inside our bodies could have been switched around when humans first came onto the scene. If our ear drums were physiologically wired to what is now our vision area of the brain, then when the ear drums detected sound, we’d register that as color or shapes or whatever.

Conversely, when the eyes detected a particular range of vibrational frequency, converted that information to electricity, and passed that information to the brain, if the wires were crossed, we’d “hear” light as if it were sound and music.

Dag dabit. Kids these days and their bright music… Make your music dimmer already! :mad

In another universe, perhaps… :D

It’s all perception. What we’re perceiving isn’t literally true.

The whole universe is silent. It’s colorless. There’s no tastes, no textures. Sounds kinda boring, doesn’t it? It’s all just energy swishing this way and that. Fortunately, our bodies are these wonderfully miraculous tools that allow us to perceive all this energy in a way we can truly appreciate and enjoy. :dancing

Why This Matters

Taking this understanding that everything EVERYTHING is pure energy, including what we call matter, all that “Law of Attraction” stuff starts to make a little more sense, does it not?

Everything that we desire: money, relationships, health, cars, experiences, candy bars… whatever it is, it’s all pure energy. Energy tends to be attracted unto like energy and all the Law of Attraction is about is focusing awareness onto a particular range within the infinite spectrum of possibilities that exist within the imaginative mind… all of the possibilities we can imagine are like unique vibrational frequencies that we can activate through thought. When the mind focuses awareness upon a thought, the “physical” being then vibrates in harmony with that thought, literally attracting that energy unto itself. Do that enough, and let go of the resistance, and *poof!* Manifestation!

Bravo, Houdini! :D

This understanding that everything is Energy, literally, is key to understanding how your life unfolds, why certain experiences and people show up in your physical reality, as well as what is likely to show up in your life.

Recognizing this, one then begins to take responsibility for their life and their experience, a step up from the victim/perpetrator model of the world thinking that someone is “doing something” to another and that the blame lies outside of oneself. This is definitely not the case. You are responsible for your vibration. You are responsible for your reality. You are responsible for who you are. Everything in life is simply an opportunity to demonstrate who and what you are, to express who and what you are, and to be who and what you are. That’s life!

Are Mind and Consciousness the Same Thing?

No, they exist in a subject-object relationship.

The one who watches a play is different from the one who is up on stage, acting.

Consciousness is what witnesses the mind. Without consciousness, thoughts would simply be floating in a sea of nothingness. The mind is not aware of itself, nor can it be aware of itself. Consciousness is aware of all, including the mind. Thoughts within the mind are just thoughts which arise within the sea of Consciousness.

There can be a thought that arises such as “I exist,” but it is really Consciousness which is noticing that thought, not the mind.

You are the one who is aware of the mind, not the one who thinks.

When thinking ceases for a moment in meditation, you don’t cease to exist.

When thoughts bounce around from one subject to another, you still continue to exist just the same.

Before you learned to think and speak in the english language, you existed. You are not the verbalized thoughts in your head.

You are the one who exists independently of the mind. It is Consciousness itself that is what your true nature is, not the mind. You are not the mind. The mind is something the conscious you observes, just like everything outside of you in physical reality. You are the one who sees.

Similarly, it is said that you are a Creator. Thought has no power to create whatsoever. It is consciousness/awareness focusing upon thought that leads that manifestation. Awareness is the Creator. Thus it is said that what you focus on expands. That which you think about you will experience, not because thought itself is creative, but because thought is an object upon which awareness, which is the engine of Creation, can be focused upon.

Thought is the object. Consciousness is the subject. You are Consciousness.

The Deeper Purpose Behind the Law of Attraction

Something I realized the other day is that when it comes to the Law of Attraction, what most of us don’t realize at first is that what it is we want to manifest is actually SECONDARY!

Song of the Tides by Marc AdamusSong of the Tides by Marc Adamus

There’s something much more profound going on here. What the LoA is really teaching you to do is to blend all aspects of your being, to be your whole self, to unite the physical you with the non-physical you in thought, word, and deed. Call it raising your vibration, expanding your consciousness, integrating your being, whatever you want. It’s a way to experience Creation and growth in a way that is in full alignment with All That Is, without requiring All That Is to be any certain way.

The LoA is a wonderful little game. It’s the famous sales line, “Sell ‘em what they want. Give ‘em what they need.”

Remember in the movie Karate Kid when Mr. Miyagi had Daniel-san painting the fence, sanding the floor, doing wax-on wax-off? It’s a lot like that.

Old School

How many times have you wanted something really badly and struggled and grunted your way there. Sure, maybe you eventually got there after a lot of hard work, but when you finally got there, the feeling of success was short-lived at best. Heck, maybe it even felt like a disappointing let down compared to what you were expecting.

So 99.9% of your time was spent getting somewhere else, not enjoying or accepting where you are now, and the remaining 0.1% of the time at the end is spent actually experiencing the thing, but not even fully enjoying that either!

Doesn’t something sound wrong with the picture here? There must be a better way.

There is.

What Synchronicity Tells Us

Category   Law of Attraction

Have you ever had the experience where you’re really excited about something like the idea of getting a new car and suddenly you start seeing that car EVERYWHERE? :blink

Have you ever been thinking of a person and you *just so happen* to run into them in the street or get a random phone call from them? :jawdrop

Have you ever been wondering about something and suddenly heard the answer come to you as a song lyric that plays over the radio, a billboard you drive past, or the chance words spoken by someone across the room? :dancing

These events are all examples of synchronicity. They are meaningful coincidences.

Discounting Synchronicity

It’s so easy to write this stuff off as mere coincidence, as simply starting to pay attention to and thus see something which was already there they whole time, or as something you’re just making up, but there’s SO MUCH MORE to this than that.

First off, no coincidence is an accident. Everything in this world is connected for it is all One.

Second, yes you do start seeing things that have been all around you all along. Have you never heard the saying, “Even before you have asked, I have already answered?”

Third, are you making it all up? Of course you are! You’re making up EVERYTHING in physical reality!

What is synchronicity and what is its purpose?

Every Belief Is Equally True and Equally False

Beliefs are True

Every belief is equally true in that every belief will generate a self-validating reality here in the physical world. If you believe that people are inherently good, for example, you will tend to attract that reality towards yourself. That will be your experience and it’s the subjective experience that is what matters for there is no objective reality outside yourself.

If you believe that people are inherently evil, that reality will be true for you and life will reflect back to you this reality, thus giving you evidence to support your existing belief.

So each belief is true in that it can be backed up by personal life experience if the belief is truly believed in.

Beliefs are False

Paradoxically, every belief is equally false in that it’s not literally True, but more like a pointer towards Truth. A belief is nothing more than a repeated thought that’s bought into such as “ice cream is delicious,” but the belief is not the deliciousness of ice cream itself. A belief is simply a thought.

No belief is ultimately true in and of itself. Your reflection in the mirror has no weight, no solidity. In the same way, the reflection you see back from the world which shows you your beliefs has no weight to it as well. It’s just a reflection so be careful not to get caught in thinking that your experience of the world is ACTUALLY the way things are.

The Power of the Paradox

This world is one of paradox. It is a world in which two dualistic and seemingly opposing viewpoints often battle it out for the title of being RIGHT. (Insert heroic trumpet fanfare here!)

In fact, being right is the one thing that people(‘s egos) will sacrifice most anything for, including their own happiness, health, wealth, and even their very lives. Never underestimate the human ego’s desire to be right!!

The irony is that from a higher perspective, from the level of non-dualistic consciousness, it becomes clear that NEITHER are right AND BOTH are right! Say what!? How can this be??

It’s not this OR that, but this AND that.

Perhaps you’ve seen two people who are arguing about something, only to realize that they’re both right. The thing is that they’re both looking at the same thing, but simply seeing it from different perspectives.

When you can stand in the center and realize how both seemingly opposing viewpoints are actually both valid, are really the same truth viewed from different perspectives, then you can say you are centered in your being.

The most natural way to get to that integrated space is to let the mind be quiet. Paradox can be conceptualized in the mind, but there’s truly nothing to understand. Simply be still and know. The paradoxes will be revealed to you.

It seems that reality is centered right between the paradoxes. Life finally “clicks” when you sit between the paradoxes.

A few quick examples…

The Imaginary self is a Model for the Physical self

Category   Law of Attraction

What can we do with our imagination, once we realize it has more reality than we realized? How can deliberate visualization then serve us?

We can sit down quietly, close our eyes, quiet our minds, and allow ourselves to fully experience another parallel reality, existing right here, right now.

We immerse ourselves in that reality, feel it, live it, hear it, taste it, touch it, smell it, breathe it. We engage our mind and our senses deeply into this reality and come to the FEELING place of this reality.

From this feeling, we can then ask ourselves, how am I living my life? What am I doing? How am I acting? How am I breathing? How am I feeling? What am I saying? What thoughts am I thinking? What emotions am I feeling? How am I carrying myself? How am I treating others? Do I feel heavy or light? Who am “I” being?

While living this reality in our imagination, we examine who the self is being, vibrationally. If we want the manifest self in physical reality to experience this unmanifest reality here in the manifest, we simply BECOME the self in physicality that we are living in our imagination.

The imaginary “you” is the MODEL the physical “you” should mimic in order to experience that same reality.

Copy that “you” in thought, word, and deed. That imaginary you is already the you you wish yourself to be. Copy it.

The you you are imagining actually IS you in that reality. The more you act like the imaginary you, the more you will be living that reality in physical form, the more that imaginary reality will be in you.

Remember, there is no physical reality outside of you. It is up to YOU to change if you want to see the reality made manifest in physical reality. You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

Who should “you” be? You may go into your imagination and live that reality. See it as already existing now. (It already does.) Then be that version of “you” in “real life” and physical reality will automatically reflect this change back to you. This is one of the main functions that our imagination serves. It shows you what roles to play.

Whatever you are the vibration of determines what you will experience. Thus, if you want to have a particular experience, find out what vibrational feeling is representative of that experience by looking to your imagination and then bring this vibrational feeling “back with you” here into physical reality.

This process is yet one more way of integrating various aspects of the self to experience more and more of the Self.

Life… It’s just a ride.

;)

The Reality of Your Imagination

Let’s talk about the imagination and take a look at how it’s actually far more real than we give it credit for.

Your true nature is Consciousness itself.

Existence or Consciousness is the only reality. Consciousness plus waking we call waking. Consciousness plus sleep we call sleep. Consciousness plus dream, we call dream. Consciousness is the screen on which all the pictures come and go. The screen is real, the pictures are mere shadows on it.

-Ramana Maharshi

You are the screen upon which various realities are projected. The thing is, and this is something that people don’t fully realize, all projections are JUST AS REAL in the experiential sense! Paradoxically, they’re all equally FALSE, depending on how you want to look at it for there is a deeper reality that is infinitely more real than “real life.”

Most of us tend to think that when we’re awake in “real life,” that’s “real.” On the other hand, when we’re visualizing in a non-physical plane or dreaming at night in our imaginations, that is somehow “less real” since our physical bodies were not in the experience.

What’s real is actually the Consciousness upon which all illusion is projected.

Consciousness experiences, but is not affected by all forms of illusion that is displayed upon it.

Coming back to a little more down-to-earth way of talking about it, let’s now look at the imagination.
