Camping at 10,000 feet: Lessons on Giving and Receiving and the Subtleness of Intuition

Okay, first of all a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who donated the past few days. I am tremendously grateful to each and every one of you and I’d like you to know that yes, your gift makes a big difference. Not only that, it’s been really cool to hear some of the stories that have come forth after donating. For example, one reader/friend donated to me and also wanted to get a new pair of dance shoes. She then shared with me that the very next day, her dance teacher flat out gave her exactly the dance shoes she wanted and wouldn’t let her pay for them. Get this… the cost of the dance shoes was exactly the amount she’d donated! It’s really cool to see this flow of giving and receiving, how it works in both directions, and it’s on this note that I’d like to begin this post.

It seems like a big part of “being in the flow” is not only being open to receiving abundant blessings from the universe, from other people, and from every which way, but also being open to give what you have to offer. It’s important for both ends of the giving/receiving pipe be open for the best experience of flow. Now by giving, this doesn’t necessarily imply giving physical stuff like money or your possessions, although that’s certainly just as much a part of it as anything else. Less tangible things like a helping hand, a kind smile, an encouraging word, or even your time… these things can all be HUGE gifts… It seems like the greatest gift you can give is the gift of yourself in whatever form you show up. I don’t mean to make this sound like “I’m all that” or “I’m God’s gift to humanity” in an egotistical sense or any of that nonsense, but it seems like when you just naturally show up and shine your light, that seems to impact people more than anything you could possibly do by trying to give for whatever reason. It’s pretty surprising to me still to see over and over that life, for whatever reason, simply works best when I just give up trying to manifest this or make that happen or get this person to respond that way or any of that effort-based stuff… When I say “enough already” and just be myself and enjoy and appreciate what I already DO have, life is FAR more enjoyable, new things and people show up much more easily, and everything just works BETTER.

Since I’m enjoying just being myself more and more these days as opposed to trying to deliberately play the role of teacher or student as if this was all so serious :lol , let’s have a little fun here. Let’s tell a little story today… and since we’re playing like children, let’s make this story like a picture book. How ’bout that? :D

The Fracturing of Time

Category   Emotion, Intuition, Time, Universe

Time. I don’t wanna get into the discussion about time, eternity, the illusion of past and future, and all that jazz. I’m just not feelin’ it right now. Instead I wanna address some direct and distinct shifts that are occurring, namely that time (among other things) is quite literally starting to break apart and fracture right before my very eyes.

It’s not just about the experience of timelessness or events seeming to either fly by or take forever, not just those internal personal experiences, but I’m also now beginning to see these internal things be reflected back to me in the world. Digital clocks are now sometimes literally beginning to skip, as in several minutes or hours at a time simply won’t exist for me even though there is still the continuing experience of life. Analog clocks (the ones with minute hands and hour hands) around me are slowing down and getting off sync with other sources of time, and it’s not just old clocks and dying batteries…

It’s quite literally as if certain parts of life literally do not exist for me. :blink

To be honest, there’s a number of things I’ve held myself back from talking about here, either because I wanted to keep this blog focused specifically on awakening or because some of the topics are a little too *out there*… But you know what? Let’s roll with it and see where this takes us, especially now that a bunch of you are reporting to have similar experiences anyways:)

Learning to Discern between the Intuition and the Mind

Category   Intuition, Video Posts

Today we’re going to do a video post on the topic of learning to discern between the Intuition and the Mind. :)

What do the differences feel like in your experience?

What have your results been in following what feels like your intuition vs. what feels like your mind?

Understanding Your Intuition: An Interview with Akemi Gaines of yes-to-me.com

Category   Interviews, Intuition

Yes-to-Me LogoHey guys, today I would like to share with you a discussion on intuition, what it is, and how to better use it to benefit our lives. Sharing her wisdom with us today is Akemi Gaines, the spiritual coach at Yes to Me – Spiritual Healing and Growth for Greater Success.

She has the cool ability to read people’s soul records (often called Akashic Records) and clear the energetic blocks and restrictions that limit her clients’ abilities to live life fully.  Bringing together her insights on how the intuition works, she just launched her new program on intuition development.

I had a number of questions about intuition itself, so she and I came together to share and bring forth these understandings.

I am very excited to dive into the topic of intuition because it’s such a great way of learning to act in the moment and operate from a place of knowingness beyond the mind, deeper than anything the limited intellect could possibly know. It’s like a higher level of being in this world, part of the next stage in human evolution.

And so with no further ado, let’s jump right into it! :bounce

Free Will vs. God’s Will

Question:

Hi Ariel,

I was just wondering about this. I was fine with my understanding of non-attachment until this particular idea came and I’ve now confused myself…  :blink

I assume that the whole idea of incarnating is to grow and evolve and express your true essence.

And if we are not challenged, we have no impetus to grow.

So if we are truly operating from the Higher Self, making the perfect choices, and being detached from the outcomes, how does growth happen???

Maybe from a non-dual perspective it probably doesn’t matter, but it’s not clear why…

Your ideas on this would be appreciated.  :D

Blessings

B.

My Response:

Great question. So if our intuition is constantly guiding us, how does growth happen?

Effortlessly. At its own perfect pace.

You see, there comes to point whereby people find that using their own free will will never actually bring them happiness and lasting fulfillment, no matter how hard they try.

With the surrender of the personal will, the body moving, consciousness evolving, choices being made… all of that stuff happens seemingly on its own. In fact, it is only by truly letting go of the illusion of free will that you can be guided by spiritual (God’s) will.

A river has no trouble deciding if it should flow to the left or to the right of a boulder. It flows effortlessly, without thought.

We all have an inner voice, a silent still voice, that always knows what’s best to do. When we come totally from that voice without needing the mind’s second opinion, life seems to operate from a state of flow at its own perfect time. You “just know” the right choices to make.

The voice is NOT separate from you. That voice literally IS another aspect of you, just like the mind or the body. The voice IS you. It’s not some God “out there” somewhere.

Awakening into this experience and letting go of the illusion of free will does not mean that you become a bump on a log, a useless sack of meat and bones.

Quite the opposite in fact. Read More …

How To Take Advantage of Higher Dimensions

Our physical reality that we, as humans, experience has three dimensions. From a geometric standpoint, we call them length, width, and height.

There is then a fourth dimension called time, but we can only experience one single “point” in time at a time. Our bodies have difficulty living multiple points in time simultaneously.

Nevertheless, the limitation of only being able to experience one point in time at a time is just an illusion. In Reality, ALL time is happening Now.

Let’s take things further, beyond even the fourth dimension of time, and really start pushing the envelope. What happens beyond four dimensions? Does this have anything to do with spirituality?

As usual, synchronicity brought “me” into contact with precisely the right information to help develop these understandings. Let’s watch two short video that help us visualize higher dimensions in a very easy to understand way.

A key point to keep in mind: In the sixth dimension, we can somehow hop, skip, and jump from one life to another. Now if only we had a sixth sense to interact with the sixth dimension…

I tell you this: there are no coincidences. ;)

So in higher dimensions (which are all right here right now, not anywhere “out there” somewhere), it is possible for a being to somehow travel across the universe seemingly instantaneously through a fold in a higher dimension (a fold in the fabric of space/time, the 4th dimension).

That’s great and all, but our physical bodies and minds are limited to perceiving only this three dimensional reality plus time. How on earth (pun intended) are we supposed to perceive higher dimensions when “stuck” in the perception of a three dimensional reality? :blink Read More …

Waking Up From the Movie of Life

Have you ever had that experience where you’re watching a movie or TV and suddenly you get snapped out of it, back to reality? Instead of being totally absorbed by the film, you now see the screen in front of you, your surroundings, and even the portion of the screen where the movie isn’t playing.

Before you saw nothing but the screen.

What happened? Did you go anywhere or did only your awareness shift?

Could you maintain total presence in your body and physical reality while simultaneously being totally absorbed by the movie?

No way. In a sense, you have to “fall asleep” in physical reality and totally enter another dream-like reality. The emotions you get from the movie, the sounds and sights, they all feel very real… yet when you snap out of it, you realize it was all just a flicker of images and not much more.

In fact, if you remain present while watching the film, you find you can’t get lost in the film. It loses its sense of reality and you are conscious of the fact that it’s simply a movie in front of you and not real life.

Yet interestingly, when you “wake up” out of the movie life, you find that there is a life which is even MORE real. Nothing real was actually lost by awakening. You begin to see the movie for what it actually is: simply images on a screen.

What we call “real life” in physical reality is EXACTLY the same way. Our ability to feel that it is real and get sucked in with all its sights and sounds and emotions allows us to fully experience the reality. As long as we’re asleep and absorbed in this reality, we get to “juice” all the drama and emotions, illusions that are only part of a dream.

Enlightenment is an awakening, just like snapping out of the movie. Nothing real is lost and you don’t actually go anywhere. You realize you’ve always been here the whole time. Your awareness has simply shifted from the “dream world” (separation consciousness of physical life) to the “real world” (unity consciousness of spiritual life).

Nothing real is lost and everything is gained.

Life beyond the illusion.

What is it like when you awaken and see this physical life as just a dream?

None of our fears or worries have any reality. They’re all just mental images on the movie screen.

Everything physical is made up of pure energy. What we see in physical form is simply a temporary manifestation of the perfection of creation appearing in the form of a person, thought, plant, or idea.

Everything is cradled in unconditional love. Like the light of the sun, it shines to all equally. What makes the difference is not who is special and is being given more sunlight, but rather who is willing to receive the light and be open to it warming their presence. One can block the sunlight and choose to not receive it, but it will continue to shine just the same.

Time is seen as an illusion. Reality is timeless. What we call “time” is simply a shifting of awareness from one frame of the film to the next, yet every frame of the film already exists in this moment.

Sometimes we are able to “peek” at a future section of the film and then come back to the part of the movie that’s playing now and somehow we just know what is to come if we continue playing this same film. This is called intuition, psychic abilities, or clairvoyance. It’s nothing more than recognizing that the whole movie and all potential endings to the movie exist now. If we continue playing this same movie, we can figure out what is most likely to come by simply looking ahead at the “future” which exists right now. It all literally exists right now.

All of this and more… just from “snapping out” of the movie of life. This snapping out comes from quieting the mind, abiding in the present moment, and recognizing your true nature as the awareness that is watching the film instead of the character in the film.

Past and future are illusions, nothing more than pieces of the film that you’re not currently bringing your awareness to.

Bring your awareness to this moment. This present moment. It is only Now that you can experience life. Totally experience Life as it unfolds right in this very moment, not your mental beliefs and distorted interpretations of what’s happening.

Become fully aware of Now and the more you remain in this state, the more you remain awakened from the mind-made mental reality we believe is real life.

Snap out of the movie. Ultimate reality is WAYYYYY better than the movie.

Emotions vs. Feelings

Emotion and feeling are often confused as one and the same, thought to be interchangeable. However, the two are actually quite different and serve different purposes.

Emotions are used for creation. (manifestation)
Feelings are used for communication. (intuition)

Emotion:

Emotion is the power which attracts. Your emotions are created by your thoughts.

If I say “Be Happy,” notice you can grin, but it won’t actually make you happy. You need to think of an event which makes you happy and THAT will lead to an emotional response which we call happiness.

Thought itself is pure energy. Every thought you have, have ever had, or ever will have is creative and produces energy. E-motion is energy in motion. It is the by-product of those thoughts.

This energy you create goes out into the universe and because like-attracts-like, you attract more of the same frequency of energy. When enough “clumps” of like energy come together, they form matter.

This is the essence behind the Law of Attraction. Read More …
