Welcome welcome, America’s new president, Barack Obama!
This afternoon he gave his inauguration speech in front of roughly 3 bazillion people all crowded along the Washington Mall.
Thank goodness there was so much body heat going around, because it was a cold day today, yet the human popsicles came out regardless to watch our new president be sworn into office.
One of the big buzzwords these days is “Change.” So, setting this context, let’s highlight a few of the changes that he mentioned in his inauguration speech today that specifically tie into the idea of spiritual change and Oneness.

I would like to introduce you all to my wonderful friend Marie Levit.
For those of you familiar with the book series Conversations with God by author Neale Donald Walsch, Marie has the same conversations with God, as does her daughter Lou. Marie’s first book, Healing God, picks up where Neale’s books left off.
For example, for those of you who are familiar with Neale’s book What God Wants, the message is that God needs nothing from us, despite what many religions have told us. Marie’s message adds to this, suggesting that God needs everything from us. A bit more on this God as everything/nothing will be touched on later in this post.
If you’d like to see two sample chapters from her upcoming book Healing God, you can read about What God Desires and God’s Messengers. (At the time of this writing, her book is with the same publishers who printed Conversations with God. It has been approved for publication and I’ll let you guys know when it is available for purchase!)
Marie Levit
The main reason I write this post today is because not long ago, Marie realized her Oneness with God and she’s shared her experience. With her permission, I’m going to repost her story here and share it with each and every one of you.
We have also explored the ideas that the world you see in a dream in the brain and that there really is no phyiscal reality outside of you. Your imagination is, in a very real sense, just as real as this so-called “physical reality” that you experience. It is from this context that Abraham and I begin discussing the nature of Reality… whatever the heck that is.
What Is Our Reality?
You are vibration.
Look at a Television. Our TVs keep getting thinner and thinner, yet none of us are looking for the little men and their horses inside the TV that are getting squeezed in there. We accept that they are simply a vibrational reflection. It is a signal that’s being received and deciphered into a particular visual effect.
YOU (the separate self) are like that too, and so is physical reality!
The separate self is nothing more than a perception of vibration. That’s IT. It has no true substance, in and of itself.
When Abraham uses the word “reality,” they have to do so because there are so many people in agreement on it. Instead of implying that our reality is actually Real, they are simply choosing to “speak our language.”
Perhaps more accurately the word “reality” could be substituted with the words “virtual reality” or “perceived reality,” but using our word “reality” helps them bridge the gap between what we think reality is and how it actually is. It creates a sort of common ground.
Without the above understanding, it may seem as if we are talking about two different things. One person talks about reality as if it’s actually real, but another uses the very same word to mean something that’s just perception and nothing more.
So it’s not that anyone is wrong, but rather that they are using the same word to mean two different things. Hence the confusion. It’s a lot like when someone says “I Love You” to another, but both people have two different interpretations of the same word Love.
The other day the Abraham-Hicks workshop CDs recorded here in Atlanta arrived. It’s the workshop where I had an opportunity to speak directly with Abraham.
I’m listening to the CDs now and Abraham brought up a very interesting point which I had forgotten about until now.
There is this assumption that first the earth was created and then people somehow arrived on the earth. Either God placed us here, we developed into humans through the process of evolution, or whichever other theory you choose to subscribe to, and there are certainly many more.
When you remember, and it is something you will remember because it is something that you know, everything that you see in physical formation, everything that you call manifestation, everything that is actualized, all this knock-on-wood stuff that you can see and smell and hear and taste and touch, all this stuff was preceded by a vibrational reality.
Everything.
The Earth spinning in its orbit. It was vibrational reality first, and because thinkers thought upon it longer, when enough thinkers thought upon it, it began to take form enough that other thinkers could then experience the participation of it in manifested form.
Everything is that way.
You are magnificent beings and you are incredible in your earthly achievements, but we want you know, as bright and as brilliant and willing and wanting as you are, you have not scraped enough dirt together and launched it into orbit. You are not launching planets into orbit. There is something bigger going on here than you can explain through the physical beingness and action of your time/space reality.
-Abraham, Workshop in Atlanta, GA on 10/25/08
What is this bigger thing going on? It is the experience of physical manifestation that occurs by virtue of what thoughts and intentions the thinker holds in mind. It is a non-physical process that leads to the creation of physicality.
So just to play with this idea a bit and explore alternative theories regarding the creation of Earth and the creation of Humans, how’s this for an idea?
And I’m in no way saying that the following is “the Truth.” It’s just a fun idea to toy around with.
This world is one of paradox. It is a world in which two dualistic and seemingly opposing viewpoints often battle it out for the title of being RIGHT. (Insert heroic trumpet fanfare here!)
In fact, being right is the one thing that people(’s egos) will sacrifice most anything for, including their own happiness, health, wealth, and even their very lives. Never underestimate the human ego’s desire to be right!!
The irony is that from a higher perspective, from the level of non-dualistic consciousness, it becomes clear that NEITHER are right AND BOTH are right! Say what!? How can this be??
It’s not this OR that, but this AND that.
Perhaps you’ve seen two people who are arguing about something, only to realize that they’re both right. The thing is that they’re both looking at the same thing, but simply seeing it from different perspectives.
When you can stand in the center and realize how both seemingly opposing viewpoints are actually both valid, are really the same truth viewed from different perspectives, then you can say you are centered in your being.
The most natural way to get to that integrated space is to let the mind be quiet. Paradox can be conceptualized in the mind, but there’s truly nothing to understand. Simply be still and know. The paradoxes will be revealed to you.
It seems that reality is centered right between the paradoxes. Life finally “clicks” when you sit between the paradoxes.
Last week I decided to simply quit spinning it around in my mind and emotional center and to simply go within and meditate. In meditation, I did a few main things:
Withdraw attention, energy, and interest from thought and emotion
Return awareness back to awareness itself
Surrender away all else without resistance
The key is not to try and fix ANYTHING, but to literally sit as the Self (conscious awareness itself), and allow everything else to fall away by offering it no resistance.
This may sound like it’s not accomplishing anything, as if no problems are being adequately dealt with, but believe me, this will impact you on an entirely different level…
There’s this idea that surrender means giving up, waving a white flag, and proclaiming our own weakness and sense of inability to accomplish our goals. This is NOT what is meant here. By surrender, I am simply saying to fully allow things to be the way they are and to let go of resistance. Be fully open without closing down.
After maybe 20-25 minutes of sitting in meditation, something amazing opened up and I realized a deeper part of my being, of who I truly am.
Beneath this idea of a little “me” and all the emotions and thoughts and stories it conjures up, there’s this infinitely more amazing world. Read More …
So we’ve been exploring together the idea that our whole world is an illusion and that that which we THINK is real is actually completely made up. Literally.
Our minds can only perceive (and thus experience) a relative reality, not Absolute Reality. Thus, the human mind can never know Truth itself. Words and symbols point to Truth, but are not Truth themselves.
Even if we COULD somehow discern absolute truth (and we can) while living on this planet, our physical bodies can still only experience physical sensations and the illusion itself. In a sense, our bodies are experiencing an aspect of All That Is, one portion at a time.
This then begs the question: If everything our 5 senses detect is part of the illusion, what IS real?
Some man-made and natural laws can be bent. Others broken. Are there any Universal laws that apply Absolutely and can NOT be broken?
Let’s take a look.
The 4 Laws of Creation
1) You exist.
I am.
The two words “I am” point to an Absolute Truth: You exist.
It doesn’t say “I was” or “I will be” because past and future are illusions. I AM.
Anything you add after the words “I am” such as I am happy, I am sad, I am rich, I am poor, I am perfect, I am imperfect… These are all illusions that the egoic mind can choose to buy into, or not.
…with one exception. “I am that I am.” This statement is simply saying, “I am what I am.” Nothing else could be true. Existence is itself. Reality is itself. You can’t truly be anything other than what you are, but you can PRETEND and THINK that you are, and thus EXPERIENCE yourself being something you’re not, one of the amazing capabilities provided to us in this illusory world of relativity.
