Not often enough, but sometimes, when I'm sitting all alone and the tension of my problems at home or my studies aren't upon me, it feels as if this sudden realization washes through me, as if I'm one step closer to knowing which direction I'm headed in. This usually happens in the spring or summer, evening-ish, while it's raining (I love the rain). Not often enough, but sometimes, when I’m sitting all alone and the tension of my problems at home or my studies aren’t upon me, it feels as if this sudden realization washes through me, as if I’m one step closer to knowing which direction I’m headed in. When I looked at my girlfriend, it was literally like looking at myself. Like, that which I am is the same as that which you are. I wanted to be like, "Heeyy YOU..." as if it was like the biggest inside joke ever. That was the most intense experience. Since then, there's been a growing sense of unity, dis-identifying with the body, and the sense of Presence more and more. I really love what Hawkins says about enlightenment. He says that the reason we're drawn to it is because it is our karmic *destiny*, not just some pipe-dream.
