Thank you for your considerate enquiry into this.I would just love to respond to this message.
You see there are many paths to awakening and not just one.
IN this site awareness is focussed on either itself or emotional blocks which gradually losens the grip of the ego ones life.However this happens gradually.
One cannot in his initial process of the spiritual journey remain with awareness for a long
time.Within a short period itself the ego through its various tricks takes on control.This is actually frustuating for initial spiritual seekers however they donot understand the disguised blessing in this.

When awareness,the greatest and the absolute force in this universe is sharply focussed upon anything it starts breaking the emotional blocks in the body rapidly.Every emotional block blocks energy in a corresponding chakra.Thus rapid breaking(releasing) of emotional blocks results in opening of chakras and thus increases the flow of energy in the body.However our physical body is used only to low energy levels and a sudden increase in energy levels can actually damage body cells.THIS process is very similar to a huge dam filled with water suddenly collapsing itself , the dam corresponding to the emotional block and the water corresponding to the energy blocked by it.
However thanks to only the gradual giving up control of the ego and the slow but steady rise of awareness the above situation does not usually happen.
However before visting ariel’s site i was fascinated by something called as the violet flame meditation and the void meditation.In these meditations the above mentioned instability of energy does happen.
Syptoms include
1]stiffness of neck and shoulders
2]change of sleeping patterns
3]blowing up of tube lights in your vicinty(this happens due to the aura around you getting charged.My parents had to change three tube lights in a span of just one month of these meditations.MY mother has a constant tussle with the electrician due to this.)

Perhaps your physical symptoms are due to forcing yourself beyond what is necessary and what you are ready for at the time? This response may be coming too late but I would be curious to know how you are doing with it now.

Hey Binnoy, I don’t know what that is, or if it’s even related to awakening at all. Perhaps a doctor would be a better person to go to for answers?

DEAREST ARIEL,
my experience in the path of awakening is a bit different and i assume it to be only temporary.I experience pain in the head and neck,burning sensation in my eyes,deep sleeps,monstrous and scary dreams,a heavy head, stiffness in the neck and shoulders etc.Could you please suggest me with something?
