What we call physical matter is nothing more than energy that’s sort of “clumped up” together. Like energy attracts like energy and globs up with its buddies. Birds of a feather, y’know?
Our senses are nothing more than vibrational perceivers.
There’s no real colors out there. There’s just vibrational energy. If it’s vibrating a little faster or a little slower, our eyes can detect that change and the respective differences are drawn in our mind as different shades and hues of color. Color is how our bodies translate a particular range of frequency.
Energy can be picked up by scientific tools and mapped out onto computer screens, charts, diagrams, and so on. Our bodies do something similar, but instead of measuring energy and doing all the geeky stuff with computers, it simply draws it on the screen of our minds. Our bodies are energetic translators.
The wiring inside our bodies could have been switched around when humans first came onto the scene. If our ear drums were physiologically wired to what is now our vision area of the brain, then when the ear drums detected sound, we’d register that as color or shapes or whatever.
Conversely, when the eyes detected a particular range of vibrational frequency, converted that information to electricity, and passed that information to the brain, if the wires were crossed, we’d “hear” light as if it were sound and music.
Dag dabit. Kids these days and their bright music… Make your music dimmer already!
In another universe, perhaps…
It’s all perception. What we’re perceiving isn’t literally true.
The whole universe is silent. It’s colorless. There’s no tastes, no textures. Sounds kinda boring, doesn’t it? It’s all just energy swishing this way and that. Fortunately, our bodies are these wonderfully miraculous tools that allow us to perceive all this energy in a way we can truly appreciate and enjoy.
Taking this understanding that everything EVERYTHING is pure energy, including what we call matter, all that “Law of Attraction” stuff starts to make a little more sense, does it not?
Everything that we desire: money, relationships, health, cars, experiences, candy bars… whatever it is, it’s all pure energy. Energy tends to be attracted unto like energy and all the Law of Attraction is about is focusing awareness onto a particular range within the infinite spectrum of possibilities that exist within the imaginative mind… all of the possibilities we can imagine are like unique vibrational frequencies that we can activate through thought. When the mind focuses awareness upon a thought, the “physical” being then vibrates in harmony with that thought, literally attracting that energy unto itself. Do that enough, and let go of the resistance, and *poof!* Manifestation!
Bravo, Houdini!
This understanding that everything is Energy, literally, is key to understanding how your life unfolds, why certain experiences and people show up in your physical reality, as well as what is likely to show up in your life.
Recognizing this, one then begins to take responsibility for their life and their experience, a step up from the victim/perpetrator model of the world thinking that someone is “doing something” to another and that the blame lies outside of oneself. This is definitely not the case. You are responsible for your vibration. You are responsible for your reality. You are responsible for who you are. Everything in life is simply an opportunity to demonstrate who and what you are, to express who and what you are, and to be who and what you are. That’s life!

This matter as light idea really resonates with me. I have read up a lot on quantum theory and the origins of consciousness. I have done this because I would like to know the inner workings of the universe.
When I piece together what I have learned on these subjects with your blog I get an idea that really feels to work in all of these disciplines.
The idea is that the only reason there is this physical reality isn’t perceived as vibrations of energy is only because our consciousness is there to observe it and collapse the wave function that is matter.
I read an article about brain scans of Tibetan monks during meditation. What surprised them is the part of the brain associated with awareness of the physical body in space completely shut down. Now, I believe that in an older post you stated that in one of your pure awareness states matter began to vibrate. I believe that is because you lost or were losing your consciousness, your ego. Because of that there wasn’t an ‘observer’ to collapse the wave function of matter into its particle form.
I wasn’t really planning on going anywhere else with this, just wanted to get your perspective on it. Feel free to email.
Peace and Love
@Jimbob:
I’m glad to hear that you’ve recognized that a lot of this does resonate with many other understandings through various other disciplines.
To jump between various terminologies, we could say that witnessing physical reality would be the equivalent to collapsing the wave function or bringing into manifestation a potentiality from the unmanifest to the manifest through a unique and individualized perception. It’s all the same thing.
Now, in meditation, you don’t lose consciousness. Consciousness is what you are and you can’t lose yourself. You can let go of buying into the thoughts of the ego, however, and this is what is commonly referred to as transcending the ego or what-have-you.
Exploring your ideas a little more deeply, great ideas by the way!, observation/awareness is your fundamental capacity and it’s something that you can’t really turn off. Thus you can’t stop this collapsing of the wave function. Creation can never cease. You are a Creator. Literally. It is who you are and what you do. You create by virtue of your observation.
What seems to happen upon awakening is that awareness expands to become aware of what is beyond the limits of physical form. Awareness then becomes aware of higher forms of vibration, in a similar way that a dog can perceive higher frequencies of sound. Your intuition is simply a detection of a different form of vibrational information. Upon awakening, awareness becomes aware of yet another vibrational frequency, beyond the manifest physical reality.
Observation happens, but there is no separate self who observes. There is simply the presence of awareness itself. There is no “me” who is aware. It’s like there’s nobody home, which is a very peculiar experience.
Awareness can focus on awareness, and it can focus on thought on anything else, but so long as no thought is believed, no separate self is in existence. This is what the Tibetan monks were doing in meditation.
Since observation is still happening, the collapsing of the wave function still happens, and therefore even when awakened, there is the ability to recognize a ‘this’ or a ‘that,’ despite the fact that they’re not literally taken seriously to be some sort of separate entity.
hm, so that’s that.
This is very interesting.
I have multiple forms of synesthesia and I DO see sounds as shapes, emotions to sounds, emotions to shapes, tastes to sounds.
I have recently become enlightened / experienced Kundalini. I know what infinity is. I know what eternity is. I felt my DNA activate and I experienced what it’s like in all 10 dimensions. THe 10th dimension really is just like the first dimension. And as beautiful as it is, it was scary at first – I thought I was the only one who knew about what really ‘is’. I thought I had gone mad.
And not a lot of people understand this – but there is nothing but love and joy and peace. That is it. We are all connected & there is soooo much more than this ‘reality’
Pretty cool!
