Let’s look at four different types of people:
“I don’t need no instructions to know how to ROCK!”
-Enlightened rock star
“I need instructions to know how to rock. I don’t feel the music. I don’t feel the beat. This guitar makes no sense. The noise it produces when I strum it makes people cringe.”
-n00b guitarist
“I need external rules, laws, and limitations to stop me from hurting myself and others. I have no idea what I’m doing in life. I don’t feel these things called Oneness, God, or Love. At best they’re just concepts people talk about that I’m trying to understand.”
-Typical unawakened person
“I don’t need instructions to know how to live harmoniously with others. I AM Love. I embody Truth, Joy, and Peace. I exist harmoniously within ‘myself’ and thus I naturally live harmoniously with all ‘others’ since We Are All One.”
-Enlightened person
Rules and laws are helpful at lower levels of consciousness, but once Love is All There Is, all rules and “the way things should be” can be let go of and fully transcended.
“Love and do as you will.”
-St. Augustine

I really liked this simple post. The “I don’t need no instructions” quote really got my attention, and was a nice segue into the concept you were illustrating. I can vibe with it – nay, JAM with it.
