How Is Everything Here?

:bounce I feel like a proud new father seeing his first YouTube video baby going up online. :D

In this video, we’re gonna be talking about what it means to be “here” and where “here” is in the first place.

There’s plenty more to come and a bunch of improvements and changes I’d like to make. This is just the first step.

I’d love to get your guys’ feedback as to what you like, what you don’t like, what you’d change, and so on.

Heck, if you have any questions, let me know and perhaps you’ll even get your question answered on video!! :D

Really like the clarity – good overall production. Maybe add some cutaways to illustration, photos, additional video that corresponds to the subject, etc. Great first start. The hardest part is getting clean audio and video. A bit too much headroom, but not bad- don’t mean to be critical just humbly offering opinion :-)

Try shooting in natural light outdoors if your equipment permits mindful of ambient noise from traffic, neighbors, etc. Natural light gives the best vid resolution.

Adding the cutaways to other images an perhaps a music intro/outro and YATL branded opening will be really sharp.

    Congrats!

Yeah. I’m looking into editing now.. stuff like having a link to my website at the bottom, transitions, and all that good stuff.

I’ll make the shot a little tighter next time. I wanted to make sure there was enough room for hand gestures. :)

I considered shooting outdoors as well, but it’s too noisy with the cars going by outside. Perhaps I’ll take a trip to the park and bring along a separate voice recorder to hopefully get better audio.

I like the idea of a YATL branded opening as well. Anyone have any ideas or wanna design something artistic for me? ;)

LOVED it Ariel! I think the message really comes through. If you do add “stuff”, I would be careful about adding too many distractions. That’s what busy minds crave…not sure it creates quiet minds! You did a great job of not talking too much or too fast and allowing space. :clapping

    Ariel Bravy Reply:

Thanks. :) As far as “stuff,” it probably won’t be more than the website on display at the bottom of the video or something pleasing to the eye next to me like a plant or something.

Ariel, first your visual simplicity and directness allows fuller attention to the message. Even a big chair and lamp in the home to me can be a distraction, unless it’s not.

If it were me and if I were to do a youtube in the future I’d most likely, as a creative person do it differently. I always picture behind me a giant museum quality aquarium to create and reinforce the beauty and tranquility that only fish can create. It may be a bit of a distraction or an enhancement.

But your simplicity works in your favor of the message.

In my case as is with a talk show, your youtube is really more listening, like the radio, I could be doing some art work or something else thus catching 2 butterflies in one net. I think doing the youtube is a great thing and will capture those ready for the message. People are very visual and may prefer to watch then just listen, but hey do a ipod version as well?

I think asking and getting feed back is also a good idea. The sound has a bit of a bounce like a bathroom and could use some cleaning uP. However it may also be quite a minor point depending on what your vision is. What is your vision and reason for doing this?

When you say that the world lives/exist within you/us. It’s like saying there is only one of us in theory and truth, but in physical reality that oneness is see as many.

I am seen as many with a particular focus and attention on my individual self, as well as other aspects of me existing or seeming to exist as seen as other people like you and the rest of the world. Did I get that right? If so, let’s go further.

If there is only one of us, that may be a theoretical truth, that is not how we experience the world for the most part. We are experiencing separateness to some degree. In fact often to a great degree. Yet we can as a result, at some point, feel and express ourselves as both individual and many as well as only just us as one. We can move between both concepts of experience. It just depends on what we desire to experience.

The illusion or experience of separateness and oneness can be experienced separately or not, or both at the same time or just oneness itself. Physical reality allows for this unique experience if we choose.

The point is, if there is just one of us or that the world is just the movie projector of our selves or our mind externalizing itself as the outer world which reflects our inner world both individual and collective, what does that mean to us and what will we do as a result of this knowing?

    Just asking of course.

I’ve been pondering the idea that the weather is a result of individual and collective consciousness or collective unconsciousness. Now is it me or us that is also creating the rotation of the earth the orbiting of other planets and way beyond or is that another aspect of consciousness we are not aware of?

Are we in the lucid dream of God which gives us the ability to also dream, which gives other aspects of reality to dream as well?

Pass me the wacky tabacky we are getting into all this mind stuff to what avail?

To me I love the movie analogy of life externalizing our inner reality as outward physical manifestation. What is our goal at this moment in time? What is your goal my friend?

To me as I’ve stated before, is inner peace and harmony as a majority and consistent factor in my life. That is a daunting goal few people seem to consistently manifest in this world. If we do, it will be like heaven on earth and we will further explore our creative powers in mostly positive life affirming ways, having discarded our primitive toys of high negative drama and pain.

Oh well, I’ve gone on long enough, but this is the territory you and we are swimming in.

Great video, it’s a great way to reach a larger receptive audience and continue the clarity we all are seeking as we try and articulate our truth.

    Ariel Bravy Reply:

Sweet. Thanks for the in-depth reply, Marko. :)

I’ll experiment with more visually developed videos as well and we can compare and contrast.

The audio definitely needs some work. I had a pocket recorder recording the audio separately, but the straight-from-camera sounded better. I’d like to get a microphone and speak into that. The skype headset I have would be a tad too in the way. :p

As for oneness and separateness, that’s actually covered in the next coming video. How perfect that you bring it up!! :D

You bring up some awesome questions and I’m really grateful for them. The one about “why does oneness matter” is particularly catching and I’d like to address that one in particular in a video.

As far as the goal? To be who I am and express who I am in the most harmonious and loving way possible. That’s it.

Great job Ariel! You seemed natural and relaxed. I liked the simplicity. As far as the message, I enjoyed your take on presence and shining light on the illusion.

PS – That smile of yours is contagious.

    Ariel Bravy Reply:

Cool mojo, thanks. I’m glad my personality is shining through in the videos. Makes the words more human, y’know? :)

That was amazing! Really great continuity. Everything was very clear as you explained it. Was that completely extemporaneous? Either way, I’m impressed.

Looking forward to your next video!

    Ariel Bravy Reply:

Thanks Cassie! I did it maybe 2 or 3 times ’till I got a take I like. Love your usage of the word “extemporaneous.” I had to look that up. :lol

I’m experimenting with totally extemporaneous videos, scripted and read videos, writing the content ahead of time and then letting it flow naturally once I have my thoughts in order, and everywhere in between. I’m still figuring out what method(s) work best for me and when. :)

I’ve been lurking on this site for about a month. I read your posts often. I liked the absolute simplicity of your first video. I think that I would have been distracted by anything you might have wanted to add. (In fact, I got a little focused on the way the light was fluctuating in the video.lol) I agree that you might want to widen the angle to allow your hands to move more freely but the rest of it was perfect just as it was. The bottom line is the message and I was able to concentrate on what you were saying.. (and the light fluctuations. lol.) I’m nowhere near where you are in your journey but I’ve started down that road myself. Good job!! I look forward to more.

    Ariel Bravy Reply:

haha, you’re very perceptive then Laura. I didn’t catch the lighting flickering at all, even when looking for it specifically. Thank you for sharing your perspective! I’m glad the message is coming across simply. :)

Your didactics are really good, you can bring across what you want to say in an understandable way.

You could use a more visually pleasant background, or just add some plants in the background.
I find the colour and the view of plants to be very relaxing and calming.

You did cut your hair eh? :D

    Ariel Bravy Reply:

Yeah, I agree about the background. Gotta spice it up a bit. :D I’ve got a plant to use as a prop which’ll start showing up in future videos. It’s a little short and so I’ve been using big fat books underneath to make it taller. Behind the scenes secrets. ;)

    and yeah, I got a haircut. :D

:clapping Hi Ariel, wonderful job, I love it. On my opinion, keep it simple, no distractions, no noisy background even nature can distract in this case. Check Chrisitne Breese videos out on YouTube. Just a little closer to the video and the room a little more soundproof, some egg boxes on the ceiling and the wall should do it. Much love, Alex :dancing

Well.. even if we are specifically being displayed as a program, a program which apparently has the capacity to become aware of itself as inside… Than we still must surmise that there is something such as a computer out there to display or activate said program. therefore we and this are real even if we are programmed to be so or in a minimalistic way at least the program does in fact exist and this is not an illusion.

Great video Ariel, my only tip would be to give a small introduction into what you’re talking about. Like “today I’m going to speak about time and space and how it relates to our spiritual experience” or something along those lines.

    Great first vid!!!

    Awesome video Ariel!
I didn’t check YATL for a while since i was busy and now that i saw that you did this great videos i was like WOW. I find thi so much easier to understand and dynamic, in contrast to reading. I loved the simplicity of your video and how the message gets through, although i would recommend adding a bit of an intro like a nice branded YATL or something. This video was very helpful, THANK YOU! ;)
