You may choose to know and understand what your emotions impart to you. I did for a while. I chose to learn their lessons in order to better understand the process and most importantly,to gain trust. Faith in the process and in myself needed for healing.I am also beginning to see it as necessary to a part of my life purpose. Now I no longer choose to know what my emotions want to tell me. I trust fully in the process. Consequently, I rarely succomb to my emotions anymore. I release them without the need to understand them. This heightens my faith in awareness.

Now all the tension is in my body as aches and pains. There is no "legitimate" reason for them to be there. It is resistance. I continue to release them to the best of my ability in full acceptance and with no need to understand. In doing so Awareness continues to grow in me. I have faith that the body tensions are just part of the process of letting go.
Whether we choose to learn from our suffering or to simply release our suffering determines where we are right now on our path of self discovery and faith. In any case, as Ariel says, "All is well"...and all is meant to be.

Yeah, great question. There's no "right way" of doing this by any means and I've tried a number of different things, as I'm sure most of you have as well. :)

What feels right to you? You have the opportunity to try lots of different techniques!

Dear ARIEL
I just had a small confusion in emotional healing. I have been practising emotional healing from the past two weeks and the results are wonderful.
In one of your articles i learnt that whenever an emotion uprises it should just be watched without figuring it out and labelling it.
Yet in another article it was told that all emotional suffering is due to some unresolved issues(emotions which were resisted) and that in emotional healing these issues of life get resolved. I ofcourse have no doubt that these issues do get resolved in emotional healing.
However i feel every trapped emotion is as if trying to say something to us and thus there is a lesson to be learned from every emotion that is resolved after getting released from years in a troublesome trap.
for example if i have stage fear it is because there is a belief of seperation within me(there is somebody esle out there watching me).
If suppose i get a need to be succesful and appreciated subconsciously it is like saying that this moment is incomplete and that there is something to do for life to become complete.
However many a times in emotional healing we just sit with the emotions, treat them with allowance without trying to figure out the correspong message that they try to give.
some messages of emotions are as follows

     1)EMOTION --- CORRESPONDING
                                            MESSaGE
2)Need to achieve --there is nothing to
                                           achieve(u are everything)

3)need to control --u are not here to control but simply
allow, allow life to flow through you.

now in emotional healing we only spend time to sit with emotions and allow them.
i would like to know how necessary is it to try to figure out the correspoding message hidden in them.Is it okay if i simply allow emotions to resolve them completely or is it necessary to figure out the message that they give or is it that after emotinal healing you automatically start living with a feeling- knowing of oneness without even trying to figure out what these rejected parts (unresolved emotions) carried the message for you
                    with love

Thanks a lot.
I will seriously consider trying the sedona method.
Its great to know and feel like something positive will emerge from my seeming suffering right now. I meditated to night and was able to feel much better afterwards. thanks for the encouragement. namaskar.

There are no accidents, nor coincidences.

That's great that you're feeling the subtle kundalini energy coursing up your back. The energy body is awakening in you.

There's a saying that there's nothing to fear but fear itself and this is very true. It is the fear that draws negative experiences to you and creates the experiences. Your catholic upbringing may very well have left some fearful residue within your unconscious, giving you material to become aware of and release as part of your healing process.

Even an elemental spirit is just energy. The energy will be attracted to fear and held in place by resistance so regardless of what form the energy takes, non-resistance will allow it to pass through you.

One of the most common sources of ego issues like anxiety and fear is simply the desire to fix, change, or figure things out. Try this process with respect to wanting to stop your anxiety and fears. You can even apply it to your desire to exist and your fear of non-existence. See if you can come to a state of acceptance, peace, and total non-resistance where you're totally okay either way.

If you feel like you need to get more out and be heard, feel free to share your feelings here. I promise you you're not alone. :hug

Thanks for you reply Ariel. It must be by sheer grace that I stumbled upon your site. I felt the genuity of your wisdom when I read all you wrote.
I have been meditating on lord Siva for well over twenty years, but have often done so without the spiritual discipline nor guidance advocated. I got tangled up in secular affairs and found things a bit overwhelming, and before I knew it, Panic attacks. I still feel heat like subtle energy coursing in my back, and yearn to worship shiva again, but like I posted earlier my unresolved fears and perhaps a catholic upbringing makes me now feel afraid of him.
I appreciate your advice and will attempt to offer no resistance to the fear. could it be possible that something other than my own subconscious fears could be accountable for this? , like perhaps an ellemental spirit?.
As regards your question what do I think it is?. At first I felt it was my unresolved primal fear of existence, you know, why and how do I and everything exist. That thought autonomously started exploding into my consciousness when I was falling asleep, a couple years ago, to the point that I will rouse from sleep scream that life as I know it is absurd, and will then be subjected to the most intense dreadfull fear ever, but that often passes, till a couple of months ago after yoga and meditation and dealing with a lot of bussiness frustration and other anger issues I collapsed in my bed and got hit with a severe panic attack of that non existence feeling and my other troubles. Two months later I am still suffering anxiety and cant sleep without the aid of meds. Yet I feel like I am on the verge of a spiritual emergence. I wish I could speak with you, I just need someone on the path to hear me. Thanks again.

Hey nitkuma, I'll reply here and copy it to an email as well, just in case.

What do you feel it is? Your intuition is typically very accurate when it comes to things like this.

As far as handling it, the best thing is to look straight at it and offer it no resistance, just like everything else in meditation.

It sounds like you're coming to some of the very core fears of your being, deep beneath the surface. Congratulations. On the other side is a bliss and love deeper than anything you can imagine. :)

Ive been a meditator and a hatha practitioner for quite some time but recently due to my other issues (existential angsts)I started experiencing severe panic attacks, and with that, fear of meditating on Lord Shiva whom I have worshipped and meditated on for many years. Now when I meditate on him I feel this cold dark fear from my core, and I will panic and stop. could this just be my primal fear of non existence taunting me? please reply directly to my email or here. namaste.
