Changing Tastes In Music

Dear Ariel,

I have started listening and appreciating classical music more lately with the expansion of my consciousness, where as before it was strictly heavy guitars, punk etc.

What is going on with me?

Thanks,

SM

Generally speaking, classical music is at a higher level of consciousness (higher vibing you could say) than heavy guitars or punk. There’s always exceptions, sure, but it’s a general rule of thumb.

Classical music tends to make one feel peaceful and joyful while music like punk has a tendency to make one feel angry and frustrated.

As you start to vibe higher and raise your level of consciousness, you’ll tend to enjoy music, activities, and people who match your frequency of vibration. You attract that which you are, hence the sayings “The world is your mirror.” and “Your inner world creates your outer world.”

Thanks for your question.

so how would one or many indicate another one’s ‘frequency’ if this other one is able to fully enjoy both classical, rock, as well as every other form or ‘frequency’ or music, or every ‘type’ of sound for that matter?

Because we are all one, and one is all, so one should be able to enjoy anything which triggers happiness in another, non?

You can generally feel out people’s vibes intuitively. We all have the capacity to do this. With some people you just feel good, even if no words are exchanged. With others, it’s the exact opposite.

The vibe is a way to basically measure how in or out of alignment someone is with Love.

Now, even if we are one, that doesn’t mean that we have the same preferences as someone else. You may prefer one flavor of ice cream while I’ll prefer another. Oneness does not imply sameness.

Nevertheless, from a state of absolute oneness, everything is appreciated for the simple fact that it is. Everything is equally a part of God, of the Self, and is thus recognized as such and appreciated for being exactly what it is, without judgment or resistance.

my awareness says I want to comment more… :D

Taking into account the concept that no memory belongs to anyone, and that we can let go of one memory and replace it with another, experienced or self-convinced, we can experience and feel all that has been, is, and will be available to everyone, yes?

    Ariel Bravy Reply:

heh, first off, just to clarify, awareness doesn’t “want” to do anything. Awareness just is. It is the ego which has desires to do this or that.

To answer your question, Dali, yes and no.

All events and feelings throughout all time are stored in the universe forever. It is possible to go in and look up historical records, memories, and experiences because they are never lost. This is often talked about in the form of “reading” akashic records.

Now, things are stored in these records exactly as they are, not the way people perceived them. It’s like how 5 ppl can all see a car accident and see different things. Their perception distorted the actual event. In the records are the actual event and it is that which one would look up, free of distortion, totally as it is.

  3. Dali said:

but any ‘recording’ in a known language is a form of distortion isn’t it. i mean, language is not complete.

    Ariel Bravy Reply:

Correct. What you said is 100% correct.

BUT, if you can surrender into the experience and surround your “self” with the energy that is inherent within the music, you can temporarily feel the experience of being “uplifted” that that level of consciousness, similar to what happens when people take drugs.

It is important, however, to make sure you don’t become dependent upon any outside source, or become reliant upon them. Truth is only from within. External solutions are merely triggers for internal consciousness.
