		<description>&quot;The farther you go into the light, the more aware of the darkness you’re able to become&quot;

This deeply disturbed me when I was starting to learn about myself. To see how easy it would be to choose dark actions. The freedom you gain by being aware requires a healthy dose of responsibility.

It brings a deeper meaning to walking on the razor&#039;s edge.

		<description>Quotes Ariel: &quot;Spiritual and personal growth is all about validating and accepting every portion of yourself.

The inner struggle drops away. Such is the power of acceptance and self-acceptance. This is the true freedom of non-judgment. This is the essence of allowing.&quot;

To add, I agree that allowing and accepting definitely beats repressing/fighting/judging it. But for me I found there actually are roughly 3 stages when it comes to &quot;dealing&quot; with my actions/emotions/thoughts.
1 negatively judging them, saying &quot;I should not have done/felt/thought this.&quot;
2 positively judging them, saying &quot;I allow it, it&#039;s oké that I have done/felt/thought this. It&#039;s good.&quot;
3 not labelling/judging anything, saying &quot;It&#039;s there.&quot;
For me 2 feels &quot;better then 1, but 3 feels better then 2. While 2 (positively judging) feels to me more &quot;healthy&quot; I still felt like judging actually to me, as the counter opposite of 1 (negatively judging). But doing 3 (observing with a comprehender) feels to me like the ultimate peace of mind.

Quote Ariel: &quot;Just because you may become more aware of evil, “negative choices,” or “dark choices” doesn’t mean you have to actually go and experience them.&quot;

I agree. To add, I noticed for myself when it comes to my feelings/emotions I (aka my mind) does 2 things that disturbs my peace. And I found that by observing these 2 &quot;mistakes&quot; that my mind makes, that when just see 1 of these 2 mistakes there was no problem anymore and total peace in me.
I will try to explain the process I noticed within me.
1. There arises a feeling or emotion (the feeling itself I noticed doesn&#039;t cause disturbance in my peace).
2. The mind (interferes, and) puts a label on it.
3. The mind (interferes, and) takes delivery of this label to the “me”, and therefore says I am [label].
To give an example. I see (what I think is) a beautiful women walking towards me. This external stimulus causes a certain feeling/emotion in me. Let’s say I feel (slightly) sexually aroused. Then my mind interferes and puts a label on the feeling, it says: “there is a horny/sexual feeling, and that is good/bad/disrespectful/appreciative/etc..”. Then the mind interferes again and addresses it to me, and then says: “YOU are horny, YOU are being good/bad/disrespectful/appreciative/etc..”.
I noticed for me the 3 things from above happens almost simultaneously within me. And at this moment I can’t help but the mind does interfere. I noticed that if just 1 and 3 happen, my peace of mind is not disturbed. I noticed that if just 1 and 2 happen, my peace of mind is not disturbed.
The above example was about an so called “anxiety”, which is something one wants to get ride of. Well I noticed that actually the same process applies to so called desires/needs, which is something one doesn’t have yet and wants to have/experience.

Now, when I am paying attention to what is going on (internally) in “me”, while living my life. Just this knowledge from above, (and seeing that going on) causes me to have for little amount of time disturbance of my peace. Or if the paying attention/observing happens simultaneously, there is no disturbance of my peace.
This has caused me to life a little bit differently. Most importantly there is more peace (in/of mind). And the thing I do are less distorted by nervousness, more spontaneous (and some say more ballsy/socially abnormal). It is just the interference(s) of the mind distorted what actually was happening as I noticed, but some interference of the mind doesn’t necessarily have to cause disturbance of the/my peace.

I hope that what I was trying to share came across logically and understandable. If not and you have some questions, feel free to ask.
