I too have found this exercise as a turbo-charged techinique.I would still like to confirm if this practise is sufficient for a complete awakening or is side-by-side meditation is crucial and a mandatory practise for awakening.

dear ariel,
almost always in life we pay attention to something,
either reading,writing,working etc.Now according to spiritual science we are attention itself(attention,love,god,peace are all one i suppose) .So if i pay attention to attention itself is it enough to create a complete awakening in me.I am currently trying it and results are astonishing

Hey Binnoy, depends on how you look at it.

The first statement is a little more accurate way of saying it. We are an expression of the Divine, expressing itself as Binnoy, as Ariel, or as anything else.

Now, everything “else” in the universe is an expression of the Divine as well, expressing itself as a traffic light, as a rock, or anything else.

Now, recognize that the whole world appears to us within our Consciousness. That is, there is nothing we can experience that is outside our sense of awareness. This consciousness is who we truly are, not just this limited body and mind. So the whole world we experience is actually contained within our awareness. It is not separate from us or ultimately outside of us. There is no separation and the idea of something outside of us is just an illusion. The illusion is still made up of “God stuff,” just like we are, but it’s not in any way outside of us, despite appearances.

The kingdom of God truly is within us.
