Who Is Ariel Bravy?

haha… what I am can’t possibly be expressed. All I can say for sure is that I Am. I Am the I Am itself. I am the spaciousness of pure awareness, one without a second, being what I am. At the same time, there’s the delightful story of this Ariel character playing around in the world and doing his thing. What’s this guy all about?

Ariel is a guy with a deep love for Spiritual Truth, Enlightenment, and Unconditional Love. (Let’s use first-person here and speak like normal people for a bit…) I love the direct experience of realizing my true nature as well as expressing the essence of that which I am in the most natural, creative, fun, synchronistic, happy, and inspired way possible. Feels goooood!!

When it comes to studying traditions, philosophies, and techniques, what I have come to find for myself is that no matter how much insight I received from my teachers and gurus, I just couldn’t read enough books and get enlightened! I couldn’t make it happen. It wasn’t until I really got it that I just couldn’t do it that I flat out gave up trying and allowed myself to simply play for its own sake and to just be. Only then was the inner guru within revealed itself as my own true Self. As is often said, you are what you seek. That said, the realization is still settling down and stabilizing here. It is of the non-abiding variety, and the strange thing is that there is no one here experiencing any of this although sometimes it feels like there is. Regardless of who is here or isn’t here to experience it, this life is being experienced as fully and deeply and passionately and joyously as possible.

This website serves as a medium with which I creatively draw forth from the knowingness that lies within so that I can better access the wisdom of my own heart. In the Hindu tradition they call it the Buddhi, and I like shakin’ my buddhi! I deeply enjoy spiritual questions and discussions (sometimes, hah) for they represent an opportunity for me to go within to the silence of my being and listen to that voiceless voice in order to experience myself as a source of wisdom, something I really enjoy doing for whatever reason, as if I’m just naturally wired this way. One of the greatest joys of the human experience is to be who you are and feel the radiant energy of Source flowing through this physicalized mind/body vessel that somehow continues to arise in this moment.

I have found that others deeply enjoy the words that flow through me and so I share these words as they come. In a sense, you could say that I’m playing the role of “spiritual teacher,” but I’m simply doing nothing more than expressing the core essence of beingness itself, the very same beingness that you are. That title of teacher I don’t take seriously at all. Our roles and titles are part of the play, part of the fun, and it is who we really are that makes this entire game possible.

It is my intention to be a shining light of Unconditional Love, Truth, and Oneness by surrendering all resistances to Love.

How Will This Website Benefit You?

YATL features articles and videos designed to help you raise your level of consciousness and surrender into the freedom of unconditional love and enlightenment. It all comes down to surrender in the end and just being who you are. Nothing special, really.

This is a place for people who have awakened, are in the midst of awakening, or are on the road to awakening, a place for us all to come together if our energies synchronistically choose to call this experience forth. If you are here, it is because I am the manifestation of your hearts desires and you mine. What a beautiful interaction that is unfolding before us and I thank you for taking part in this game and playing with me here. =)

Is Ariel Enlightened?

Ah yes, the million dollar question, eh? There is a saying that to awaken takes only an instant, but for the “me” to fall away that takes time. One can have a whole series of glimpses into their true nature and this we call a non-abiding awakening. Think of it as a temporary enlightenment where the separate self identity still has enough momentum left to recreate itself again. It turns out the journey to awakening, if you will, is not so black and white. The journey here continues to involve the clearing out some of the more subtle energies of resistance and opposition so that the I Am that I really Am can permanently take its true place within consciousness.

That said, when people ask me about enlightenment, my brow furrows and I ask them what the heck that is. Enlightenment… as opposed to what? When you see that it’s all one, there’s nothing else to stand in opposition to some idea called enlightenment. When you see that it’s all one, there is no duality of enlightenment vs. unenlightenment. So without the other, what else is there but the One?

Is Ariel a Normal Person?

heh, so apparently people sometimes get the impression that I meditate all day or something since I focus on spirituality so much on this website. I’m a normal guy just like you. That’s one of the great things about enlightenment. It’s available to you and I, not reserved exclusively for “special” people like Jesus or the Buddha. Woohoo! We get to play too!

What Are Ariel’s Interests?

Well obviously I have a love affair with spirituality. I’m also an avid hiker, outdoor backpacker, and passionate photographer. Check out my photoblog! Besides those areas, astronomy, computers, karate, world travel, road trips, nature, and the sound of rushing water are among some of my other loves. I’m also interested in things like teleportation, free energy, integrating spiritual truth with intimate relationships, and unifying the core understandings that exist within spirituality, religion, science, quantum physics, metaphysics, psychology, the law of attraction, and our everyday real life personal experiences. Yup yup!

So the FTC is now requiring American bloggers to disclose whether or not we make money from our product reviews, whether we are doing paid reviews, and when we get freebies. Basically the deal with this website is yes, I make money from affiliate sales through companies like Amazon when I link to a book or audio product and buying products linked from this site helps support me in my journey and my path which hopefully benefits you as well. Along the sidebar of this are a number of affiliate products as well. I have never done any paid reviews, and I occasionally get freebies from publishers and authors. However, it’s not very common that I accept offers for books (I get a lot and don’t want lots of clutter and stuff piling up and usually wind up giving away what I receive anyways) and it’s even less common that I actually review a product that I receive. I make a point only to share products and materials that I have found supremely valuable myself and feel would offer significant value to my readers. At the same time, yes, I do make some affiliate commissions in the process. Not every product I share I make a commission off of, but about 95% of them I do.
